Improving safety performance like never before?
March 2017

And why are we still having accidents?
with the technical advances in machinery design, safety procedures and safety messages, in industrial settings, Human Error causes almost all safety incidences.
focus of current safety programs is primarily on the personal factors in an incident – knowledge, skill, fitness, morale for example. However we now know that more than 80% of Errors involve failures in a person’s ability and mental factors - attention, situation awareness, or incorrect operator decision making, memory or perception. These factors are not ‘visible’ to the person themselves or others. The only way to measure these abilities is with specifically designed psychometric testing – testing brain functioning. Schuhfried Assessment Systems is the leader in the global market in industrial safety testing, working with companies around the world improving safety performance.

Our Story..

The name 'Ideas Kitchen' is the result of two observations.

Firstly, there a few new fundamental 'people' problems in the last 5000 years or more!! A compelling example is the remarkable ancient ‘graffiti’ on the walls of the pyramids in Egypt!! Ahh people still needed to be heard and understood many years ago as they do today… acknowledgement is the ancient food for the soul.

Secondly, I have seen many people, teams and organisations flourish when given the opportunity to understand what thoughts and/or strategies work for them - their 'recipe'.

We all need a variety of ingredients - just in different proportions. In a relatively small amount of time, creatively working together and cooking up that recipe, honouring the ancient, and utilizing the latest knowledge, we can achieve positive results. Hence the name ‘Ideas Kitchen’.

You’re very welcome to join me at the table to work out that unique recipe for yourself, your team or your organisation.
